From raw clay to your table

Centring the clay
Every piece starts as a block of local clay, wedged by hand and centred on the wheel until it runs perfectly true.

Throwing the form
We pull the walls up slowly and shape each bowl and cup by eye, so no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
03
Glazing and firing
After drying for a week the pieces are glazed and fired twice, which makes them strong enough for everyday use.
